While we all read influencer blogs, subscribe to industry newsletters and follow our favorite thought leaders on social media, there’s a lot of content out there about content marketing and it can be pretty daunting to keep up with it all. That’s why many marketers are turning to podcasts to help their content marketing perspectives stand out, and to get their content marketing insights on the go.

In general, the obsession with podcasts has grown in recent years. Almost 20% of US adults ages 18 to 49 listen to podcasts at least once a month, according to a new report from comScore and audio network Wondery. And monthly podcast listenership has increased 75% since 2013.

Marketing’s early podcast adopters have successfully used the platform to deliver content and build engaged listener audiences. This Old Marketing
Content Marketing Institute’s Joe Pulizzi and Robert Rose host a weekly podcast called “This Old Marketing.” The content is great for mid-to-advanced marketers, and the stories each week are chock full of marketing news and opinions—from rants and raves about content campaigns to examples of inspiring marketing efforts. And as a bonus, all of the podcast episodes are transcribed on CMI’s website for a quick read.

The GaryVee Audio Experience
The GaryVee Audio Experience is where entrepreneur Gary Vaynerchuk offers up his entire catalog of audio, video, keynote speeches, interviews and so much more, all originally recorded for the podcast experience. Topics cover everything from marketing to entrepreneurship and everything in between, delivered in true Gary Vaynerchuk fashion with lots of personality and the occasional curse word. New episodes are released daily.

Another audio gem from Joe Pulizzi, Content Inc offers up shorter episodes (about 10 minutes each) on topics ranging from marketing to personal anecdotes about entrepreneurship. Because the episodes are so short, they’re fast, frequently added and easy to digest and learn from.
